Data We Process
When you upload Excel files to VaultDiff, those files are transmitted over an encrypted connection and processed in-memory on our servers solely to generate your comparison report. File contents are never written to permanent storage, never logged in any form, and never shared with any third party.
Once your PDF and CSV outputs have been generated and made available for download, the uploaded source files are deleted immediately and automatically from our server. No manual action is required on your part.
What We Store
VaultDiff retains only run metadata in a local database to support the run history shown in the application. The stored fields are:
- Analyst name (as entered by the user)
- Run timestamp
- SHA-256 file hashes of the uploaded files (for integrity verification — not the file contents)
- Run configuration (sheet names, numeric tolerance, checks selected)
- Overall pass/fail result and summary counts
The actual contents of your uploaded files are never stored. Generated output reports (PDF and CSV) are retained on the server only as long as needed to serve the download link; they are not indexed or shared.
Enterprise Deployment
For organisations handling sensitive model outputs, regulatory submissions, or proprietary financial data, VaultDiff Enterprise can be deployed entirely within your own infrastructure using Docker. In this configuration, all processing occurs on your organisation's servers and no data ever leaves your network.

Cookies and Analytics
VaultDiff uses a minimal server-side session cookie to track your uploaded files within a single browser session. No third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting scripts are used.
